I'm looking for a 12" aluminum or steel platter wich that can mounted on a 5/8" motor arbor, I can't seem to find any source although I've seen them. Any idea?

Laurent, I believe I have one of those - 5/8" sounds like the diameter of my old (1950?) Shopsmith's arbor too. My dad used it as, well, a disc sander. I'll check when I'm in my shop in a bit. Maybe try the Shopsmith website?

Craftsman used to have one for their large 12", Radial Arm Saw. Don't know if they are still available.

Shopsmith sells a nice 12" steel disk. Here's a link:

Are you mounting to a table saw arbor, Laurent? I ask because the table is an essential part of a disc sander.

Thanks for the replies guys, a used Shopsmith disk should be easy to find.
Howard, I have a couple of motors laying around and will make a slotted 90ยบ table with ply, which will serve my purpose entirely.
