I never know if it's ok for me to post here or not since I am not making guitars any longer??? But I got some great news this week...

Henrik Jansberg won the Danish Artist of the Year Award playing a Dudley 5 string violin I made for him last year. If you Google his name you can here him play my fiddle.

This is their equivalent of our Grammy.

That's great, Barry! What an honor for your instruments and you.

Don't let that "Guitar Building Forum" title keep you from posting. Your work deserves display and discussion.

Congratulations Barry, that is an honour.

Oh yes, ignore the forum title and keep posting your violins, I take this as being the acoustic instrument forum, they just got the name wrong.

Hey, this is a luthiers forum, and from what I understand, Violin's are still considered stringed instruments right ;)

Your instruments are inspirational Barry. Don't ever hold back on sharing here.

Nice to get accolades like this. Well done!

I dig the music. The fiddle sounds great. For anybody who wants to check it out:

http://profile.myspace.com/henrikjansberg

and while I don't post here a ton, I always make sure to check out the violins and other non-guitar instruments posted on here.
