:?: Is there any possibity that a bridge was glued on with hide glue. If so can it be reversed with alcohol?

Very likely it was glued on with Hot Hide Glue or a PVA glue. In either case "Heat" is what you need not chemicals. There are lots of tutorials for bridge removal out there. You need to heat the bridge to approx 140F and separate it for the top carefully with a seam knife. How ever I do not suggest you try this if you have never done it before. Really easy to damage your top and finish if you don’t know what exactly you are doing.
