Cumpiano, Siminoff, etc? Just curious - they have influenced so many builders with their writings, but I don't recall ever hearing from anyone who's actually played their instruments.

Been thinking about this for a while. This post was just triggered because I'm thinking about going to see Roger Siminoff at the LINT Master's Class tomorrow.

Ive seen a few Cumpiano's on Ebay...Im lucky to get to handle a Collings now and then...Collings seems to be the 'New Martin', better than some old Martins.

the Fretboard Journal had an article on Collings a few issues back... a very entertaining read and quite a colorful character!
