Here's a little single-0-ish guitar I brought home from the shop last night (...not my best work but it was built between projects for my friend's kid). This was finished with the method above.

I don't use RO's approach. I do a more traditional FP building VERY slowly with very little on the pad and just a hint of oil. Then I "spirit off" after about a week's cure. Along the lines of Richard Howell's YouTube tut:
