After getting into this Luthiery thing we all need some shrinkage as in talking about it on a shrink's couch.

Funny thing this thread has certainly wandered from Pat's original post but then again that is one of the great things of being on this forum.

First chance I have had too use this method of spreading Z-Poxy ....works great,..although my better half keeps wondering why I keep using her hair care products to build guitars...I had her curling iron out recently to bend a small piece of trim...and her hairdryer for this,,!! idunno idunno idunno idunno idunno idunno idunno

Another lesson learned, if one borrows the curling iron,,,,remember to turn the heat back down

Pat,

Just pore filled with zpoxy using the brush method you suggested. It worked Great!!! No ridges or squeegee overlap marks. I believe it will save me considerable time level sanding.

Todd,

The good thing about using a foam brush and blow dryer is you can easily control thickness. For a full coat I find that if I squeegee the epoxy on as normal then heat and brush for a smooth finish, it goes on fairly heavy. If I want it super thin I don't squeegee first. Just put a few drops around , heat and brush. It goes on water thin.
