I didn't pursue my back order but rather placed a new order using their online system. My order was delivered within a week.

I wonder if they know they purchased that obligation when they bought the company? I have a feeling that a lot of people are waiting to see how they handle that before they purchase from them.

They have the list and will indeed work on it. It is a small business and will never be as organized as a large company that can order in as many pieces of any item as they need for their sales. Also, they are a manufacturer as well as a retailer so they can only sell what they produce. All this to say that they will make their best effort to address the list but I would also contact them to let them know you are still interested. If you are "waiting to see how they handle" these back orders and you are prepared to judge them on that (knowing most of you quite well I don't believe that you are) you do so at your own peril. These guys are committed to doing a great job and will remain the only "no nonsense" supplier of this hybrid spruce on the planet. So, choose as you wish I guess but these are honest people committed to offering a superior product at very fair prices with good, honest grading. I believe in them and that is why I settled on selling the business to them. I look forward to their success.

Thanks
Shane

I feel the same way David, I have really enjoyed our conversations and I still totally love your work!! I am looking forward to moving some finished guitars off my benches. We just bought a house in Edmonton which will not afford me the shop space I was hoping for but I will make it work. Pictures to follow (Maybe a year or two away...).

Tale care!

Shane

I don't check in here frequently but happened on this topic. Good to know what has happened to High Mountain. Looking forward to doing business with the new owners and, thank you Shane for the quality products you've supplied me in the past!

Cheers,
Chris Lounsbury
