ryobi 12 24 and its to SMAAAAAAAALLLLLLL [headinwall] [headinwall] Great sander just not big enough. I had customer who went bankrupt and owed me 300.00 and I took the sander in lou of payment .

First number is the single pass width, or width of the drum, second number is the full capacity using a double pass on an open ended drum sander.

The ones that have two numbers have one end of the drum(s) open. This allows you to send a board that is wider than the sander. You simply flip the board after the first pass to send what ever portion of the board that was too wide on the first pass. The first number is the actual width of the drum(s), the second as the maximun width you can sand, considering you can flip the board.

Here is an example of a Jet 10-20. You can clearly see the open end.
