Kevin and Family, you are in my thoughts and prayers as well.

Miracles can happen and I pray that one does and that I can hear the story of how it did.

Best Wishes and hang in there. We're all pulling for you and hoping for the very best.

Hey Kevin...
I have read this info on other forums, too, but have been so sickened by the news that I couldn't respond. It's getting to be that stage in my life where these things start to take over. I'm well past the time when friends are getting married, celebrating the joys of parenthood and all the "happy" things of life. Now it's time to deal with the less fun things.
In the past year we lost Lance McCollum, all too early, and more recently the violent loss of Taku Shakashta. Now the cards get dealt for you and they don't seem to come up favorable.

BUT...I know the miracle can happen. In our church we have seen it firsthand. A terminal illness was overcome and there is now a completely clean diagnosis. And it was prayer...no drugs, no surgeries, but a lot of very surprised doctors...that did it. Our God is mighty and you and I know what He can do.

So, I'm off to my closet to get down on my knees and pray for you AND your family. You all have had far more than your share of troubles in the past few years and I pray now that this will be used for the glory of the God we both worship.

God Bless you, my brother.

Kevin, my hopes and all of my prayers go out to you and your family. I have known you through the internet for a while on different forums. We've not had a great deal of contact, but what contact there was consisted of your giving good advice to those of us just starting out, or just contemplating it. You have answered several questions for me on this and other forums and the advice has always been welcome and good. I appreciate that willingness to share your knowledge with folk like me. Again, my prayers and the prayers of my church will be with you. There is One with which nothing is impossible.

Words can't express my thoughts Kevin. Two verses come to mind when I think of you:

2 Corinthians 1:5-7, "For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation."

James 5:16, "... and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

We have faith in what God can and will do in your life brother.

Kevin Sorry to hear all of this. Keep the faith my friend. I am paraphrasing here, but I know What satin has meant for evil, God has turned to Good for his Glory, with Tender Mercy and Loving Kindness. We in our family will be in consitent prayer for you and your family. This the USMC slogan, as it applys here for you and yours too. Semper Fi (Always Faithful).

A hymn by Annie Flint - an individual stricken with debilitating arthritis for most of her life.

---------------
He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials he multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
---------------

The sovereign ways of God are a mystery. Sometimes the good die young and the bad live long blessed lives. Despite all the pain and suffering of this world -- the goodness of God can always be found in the shadow of the cross. Kevin, you and your family are in my prayers and those of my family and my friends. Buddy, we are asking God for a full-recovery.

Blessings,
Simon

Positive thoughts from me and mine too Kevin. Let us know if there's anything practical that we can do for you, or that simply needs to be done.

Thanks to all of you for the kind and encouraging...not to mention inspirational....words and all of the prayers. I'll be going in for a shot in my spine tomorrow to treat the pain resulting from the four herniated discs I suffered in our January car accident. Most of the pain that I'm in right now is my back. The most disturbing symptom of the pancreatic stuff going on has been my loss of appetite. I am typically a healthy eater and easily handle enough food to maintain my 220 pounds, but have only been able to eat a
little at a time recently and have dropped more than 50 pounds.

Hopefully, this spinal block of sorts will relieve the back pain so I can rest and get a decent night's sleep finally.....which has been
something that hasn't helped in the healing process.

Please remember us on Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM as I have the upper endoscopy, ultrasound and biopsy done. We're hoping and praying for an extraordinary miracle. We've seen them personally in the lives and bodies of friends and family and are looking
for the same for ourselves this time.

In His Grip,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars

Kevin,

While I don't know you personally, I have enjoyed reading your posts on this and other forums over the last few years. Good luck on the byopsy set for Wednesday. I pray that the cancer will be easily treatable and you have many great years ahead of you.

Having a bad back at the same time has to be hard. I did the spinal block thing 16 years ago and it worked for the most part. Hopefully they can get the inflammation to go down enough to allow the discs to reabsorb themselves. Very uncomfortable and painful situation. Good Luck

Tim

After a sleepless night, Kevin had the injections to his spine this morning and is able to sleep now. He was concerned about being well rested for the upper GI endoscopy, ultrasound and biopsy sample tomorrow morning. Since the shots today seemed to work, he should be well rested.

Either he or I will post an update on how things go tomorrow and then again once we receive the results later in the week.

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes,
Paula Gallagher

Simon, Tim, I wish I had anything meaningful to add to your powerful thoughts and prayers. Kevin, pray really hard, like it all depends on God, and at the same time, do everything in your power (attitude, listening, researching) like it all depends on you.

Kevin, your instruments are beautiful and an inspiration. Judging by the response here, your friends must think of you as a person the same way I, and many others, think of your instruments. Heres to your speedy and full recovery.

All the best,
Edward

Kevin I'm a cancer survivor.
Less then 2 years now.
I took it better then my family.
They were scared & I was calm.Why I do not know.
I did allot of searching on the web and got the right doctors and treatments .
http://www.webmd.com has allot of info.
Sloane Klettering in New York is the best there is in cancer info & advise.

Get all the info you can so you can question the doctors if you do not understand what they're doing or saying to you.
Best to you & your family.
Mike

Kevin, you are a treasure! A city on a hill which cannot be hidden! Through all this I pray for strength, peace and for your total healing.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
