Pedantic, not hardly says me. Serviceability - - - so important and so unappreciated by the buying public. I've read heaven-who-knows-how-many comments about 'tone' being the one paramount parameter in an instrument, to the suppression of anything else.

Very true Peter. At the risk of a momentary high-jack of the thread when our clients ask us about tone, and that happens every day, often it's the case that what they receive from us is not what they had in mind.

The mini-lecture goes like this, sometimes....: Tone is subjective and what I hear and perceive and what you hear and perceive may not be the same. As such ask me about what this pup or that pup or this tonewood or what that tonewood sounds like and I'm simply not going to go there.

We are happy to do the work for you in accordance with properly set expectations with measurable goals and objectives.... but if you want opinion you have the Internet to mislead you nicely, why would I want to compete with that? :)

:)

Mind you with objective subject matter we often go to the ends of the earth with demonstrations, previous science projects... etc. to answer a client question. The subjective, tone related stuff though is a very long walk on a very short pier in our experience.
