 Post subject: string height at the nut

I press at the second fret and if the gap from first fret too to the bottom of each strung is too much then i take the string out of the nut and file a couple swipes.

This is very frequently poorly set in new guitars i try.
If the camber is altered by the truss rid then this can change and needs adjustment. Guitars are a pia compared to violin family.
