Up here in the mtns, you can leave one of my builds outside all night long, rain, sun , snow or heat wave, and pick it up and play the sucker still in tune in the morning. Local woods, they already acclimatized.

Dont know what wood happen in the flat lands or other climates. idunno.... but then me no know much bouts anything anyhow. laughing6-hehe

Wait, you were thinking of scrapping this project when you were one days work from being strung up and fished?

I can't watch the video just now, but I'll check it our later. No mater how it sounds, I'm glad you finished it. Even if it is awful, you can learn from it. I'm betting it will find a home though.

By the way the girl who played it, she never played a uke before. However she couldn't seem to put it down because it just sounds so good. However I do not know how long it will last... I am already seeing some braces telegraphing through the top.

Congrats on getting it finished! Sounds great.

Brace telegraphing is normal. Try measuring the dip in front of the bridge, and belly behind.

That one is about 10 months old now, and holding steady in that shape. A little too flexible, I think, but doesn't seem to be dying of it.
