So, what are somethings you guys would like to do at the meet? have a few demos and then show off our work and talk?

I'm really looking forward to Joe's talk about finishing.

If people are interested, I can talk about adding CNC to your workflow and perhaps Brad can help with that. Could talk about the process, outsourcing, pitfalls etc.

If there are any noobs that haven't built yet, I'm bringing my StewMac 000 I built a few years ago and I could talk a bit about the kit building process.

I'll also be bringing a bandura that I could talk about and play a bit if anyone's interested.

I like all of those ideas Andy! If I don't hear back from them by the weekend, I'm just going to go there and talk to them.

Sounds like fun. I will definitely try to make it up if at all possible. My special areas of expertise are adhesives and manufacturing.

Oh, if you can talk about manufacturing that would be cool. You mean with guitars right?

I'm still waiting to hear back from woodcraft. I have a feeling that I'm going to have to find a new place. May have a lead on another place to meet. I'll let you guys know when I find out.

Yes, I was referring to the manufacture of guitars. I will need to keep it very general, since I highly doubt Gibson would like it if I handed out copies of their current production process chart complete with cycle times lol. But the large scale stuff is a side of the business most people don't get to experience. Many processes seem alien compared to traditional techniques, while others are extremely familiar.

Okay, so I'm starting to strike out on free places to meet.
If I can get a head count on how many people are for sure want to come I may just have he meet at my place. It's not super big, but my basement is wide open to fit a good amount of us. So if your going please let me know.

So, I finally talk to someone at woodcraft. They said the soonest they could get us in there is may 25th. I say it's to far out for me. So if it's not to many people I'll just have it at my house. So, again if you all can let me know who can make it and throw in a date that works best.

Well, I've been trying to get a final head count and had two people chime in. How does the second Saturday of march sound for very one? I'll just do it at my place.
