The "dry" heat here in AZ is not so dry when (or if) the monsoons get started. Then the humidity goes up and the heat stays up too.

Tied the all time record yesterday in Grover NC at 104. According to my thermometer it's only 102 today. I did check, and my sides haven't started bending themselves yet.

I ran out of cold water when I was taking a shower though.

Thanks guys, you're making me feel better. Or at least not so alone!
Filippo your story sounds terrible, sort of similar to our experience with hurricanes Rita and Ike. Only our power was out for over a week.
Hang in there...perhaps your sides will start bending themselves.

Multiple 100+ days here in CO. 2 in a row at 105 breaking all time record highs for June here. And it's not relenting, 103 today and averaging about 100+ for the next week or so as per forecast. The good thing is, we don't have the humidity that Texas does. Of course the lack of humidity has it's problems too.
