Beautiful build. Lot's going on but it all blends well, crisp and clean. The top, what is it and where did you get it?

It's from MArio DaCosta. Lutz with claw.

Hey Tony

That guitar looks super.

I think I have a top like that one. Isn't that Lutz [70203 #2] from Mario ?

Big bucks but it's worth it. Really like that wood.
I have become a real fan of these colorful tops.
And they are really stiff too. What's not to like?

I think your choice to leave the holes was the right choice too.

Congratulations on a great guitar Tony.

Steve

Hi Tony
Very nicely put together guitar.

Since you offerred - I, for one, would like to see how you did the pinless bridge. I tried one for my last build (going for a Lowden kind of effect) but I didn't really get it quite right. I ended up replacing it with a pinned bridge. I would like to do better next time, so any tips you've got would be appreciated.

cheers

Mark

Hey Marc,
Thanks for the kind words.
Here are links to two pinless bridge tutorials. One by me, and the other by a more talented luthier, Chris Ensor.
Mine:

Chris'

Both methods will get the job done, but Chris uses jigs which will make things more repeatable and easy. My method is quick and dirty.
