That would be an interesting comparison including whether or not the cutters are interchangeable.
I'm all for supporting domestic manufacturers and suppliers but sometimes it's just not possible.

There is a picture of the imported one from Woodworkers Supply shown near the end of this thread as John Killen pointed out above.
The illustration in Woodworker's Supply http://woodworker.com/drill-press-planer-mssu-24760.asp?search=planer&searchmode=2 is misleading as is shows the 24-760 as being hollow on the underside where it is actually solid. The radial arm saw version IS hollow on the underside but they don't list it as being offered. They do, however, show replacement cutters for the radial saw version which uses "left-handed" cutters to match the rotation when used on a radial.
It's interesting, also, that the Grizzly replacement cutters are shown discounted at $27.95/set where the ones in Woodworkers Supply are shown discounted to $11.49/set. Again, it would be interesting to know if they're interchangeable.

Alex is buying mine but he's not in a hurry. I'm going to try and get up with Sprouseod for a comparison between the original and his knock off.

Richard, if you read this give me a yell, otherwise I'll get in touch with you later this week.

When I saw the announcement on the LMii site that the manufacturer had ceased trading, I immediately ordered a Wagner Safe-T -Planer from the British stockists, who are Tilgear (google)

The lady to whom I spoke said that they had 20 in stock, whether that is still the case, I do not know, but that was only five or six days ago.

Tarhead I did and it says "Please note that this item is discontinued and no longer available for sale." yesterday it allowed me to put it in the cart but it also said that it was back ordered and not sure when it would be in stock again.
