I spoke with Jerry about Number of people and he suggested that people could bring a friend if they are into wood working as well . Somthing to think about .. Keep checking back.

Already mentioned in an email to Jim, but it occurs to me that we should discuss demonstrations on the forum here :)

I'd be happy to do one. Probably inlay, since I've done quite a bit of it, it wouldn't take too long, and doesn't require having a guitar at a specific state of progress. Maybe do one step of a multi-part design... actually the rosette for my next one (no circles involved!) would be a very good example, with both wood and shell involved, and it would be easy to thickness the top and cut a few inlay pieces to get ready for it. But being a newbie, I'd probably do better to keep my mouth shut and ears open, so if anyone else has something more interesting, go for it.

What I would most like to see someone else demonstrate is brace carving/voicing, but that might be tough to do in an unusual environment. French polishing could also be good. Particularly the pumice pore filling stage.

Talked to hibdon hardwood this morning after the storm and they are ok so far they were not affected severly by the storm this past week .

I plan to attend. I would like to see some of your binding jigs, neck angle jigs, etc. I've yet to do a binding jig or a fretboard radius jig. Maybe someone could demo final set up.

I could volunteer a demonstation on how not to do something, poor work habits, unsafe practices, money management disasters, etc.

John Mayes, I wish you were making the trip. I've learned a lot from your DVD's. Maybe at future meeting we could host John and each of us pony up for a presentation to off-set travel expenses?
