After looking at the nut slot, it is normally close to what I do, where the 3 large diameter strings are 0.5-0.75 deep in the nut, and the the thinner diameter strings are 100% covered. Only the bottom half of the string diameter should be in the nut, even on the small ones.

I have read that Honduran rosewood is non-porous and won't require pore filling. Did you find that to be the case?

The general rule is that pore filling is required for everything - regardless or porousness. In this particular case, the guitar was finished by the amazing Tony Ferguson, and he starts every guitar with pore fill - as it is essential - even in woods like maple. The wood is going to take it in.
