A small note-

guides are just that: if everything is working right the guides won't be doing anything at all. The roller bearing guides are easier to 'read' at first, but
quickly one learns from each type- if the guides are 'talking' the feed rate is
too fast or the blade is dull, in general.

Also, Mark Duginske's books are very useful for learning to set up a small-
shop bandsaw.

I have read this before and was disillusioned when it didn't work.... well... my bad. I was using a dull blade.... a new blade and proper tracking... and whala!! a great cut!!
