I am sure there is a cost to providing pictures - I think LMI alluded to that. So would you be willing to pay an additional say $5.00 a set of sides or a back so you could see the pics? I don't know in fact if that would compensate LMI for doing it. I think I would - just some assurance that what I get won't be a big surprise.

You are right about what is being shown as being a fallacy. I know Bob has told me that only about 30% of what they have ever makes the web site. Allied certainly has pictures. They send out an email every week. I think all of these guys only put up a few of the sets they have, just to create traffic on the site.

Actually it's a time constraint thing. I actually sell more of the pictured stuff. I can fully understand LMI's position. It would be virtually impossible for them to picture all the wood they have. It's a constant struggle for me but folks like to see the pic's.

PS: The answer to the original post is yes. All pic's are from guitars built with our wood. bliss

I need to apologize in advance here as it seems like I'm slamming the other vendors, I'm not really, pictures just don't work so well for me. I have seen some nice looking wood on some of the sites (Colonial, RC Tonewoods, Volcano,etc..) and have gotten some nice wood from them also. I guess maybe my biggest hangup is that assuming they don't have any wood that's not shown on their website and I also assume that they won't work with me as they want me to pick from a picture.

Just my distorted view.

Hey Jim. We would be only to happy to work with you. Give us a call anytime.

I going to sound crazy here, but I actually don't like the pictures. The best sets I've received over the years have been from vendors like LMI and Allied (others too!) that know how to grade the wood.

Ive had the same experience with Allied....even their Opp Grade IRW is good stuff and excellent value for money. I think youll find that if you buy from our sponsors theyll generally look after you.

I can vouch for the fact that the Zootman's warehouse is much more extensive than what appears on the website.

I went in there for a quick look when I was in the States last year and Bob C found me three days later lost in a big pile of Cocobolo. I was sure he said take a left turn at the Ziricote but I must have turned right through the Cuban Mahogany and got totally lost. Lucky I took a six pack with me. I could have died of thirst in there. :D
