Thanks for all the replies guys, the ebony binding is applied and scraped level and it looks great on the cocobolo. I also did my best binding job, on this my 4th guitar.

another Coco / ebony sample.

My wife says always have a little black in your home to add elegance. Seems to work for instruments as well.

My main grip with ebony bindings is that they look plastic under finish. Like Arnt said, use ebony that has "character". They almos always look nice though.

The snake wood is nice also. I'm doing coco with coco bindings right now.
