I was just up in Colorado at my son's wedding and my nephew from Kansas brought me
some interesting additions to my wood pile. The pieces of Osage Orange are very dense
and have a nice ring to them. The fruit, which you wouldn't want to be in a situation where it required eating,
is commonly known as a hedge apple in the mid west.

The darkened color is where the wood has been exposed to light.

I'm thinking it might be a nice wood for bridges,

John, I've seen a couple of guitars built out of Osage Orange, They sounded pretty good. See if you can get some pieces big enough to build with.
