Thanks for all the ideas. Our oldest son lives in the Philly area, but has a couple of room mates
so making ourselves fixtures there would be tough, but occasional nights there wouldn't be a
problem. We're going to talk to him tomorrow about it and know that he will be open to the idea.

I walked into Kevin's shop today to see him making a detailed list of all of the woods in there
and who they are committed to. He had obviously been shedding a tear or two as he did and just
looked at me and said, "All of these guys have been so gracious as they've watched us go through
all that we have these past few years. I can't wait to be able to get to completing and delivering
their guitars to them."

Those of you who have been to our home and shop know how Kevin works and how he, and
a good number of other small builders, rely on memory and the many exchanges they have with
the customers about their guitars and the materials and details connected to them. I think he just
feels the need to have records written that are clear for anyone else to look at without and special
deciphering skills. I just told him that he'll be back in the shop in no time and back to feeling fine
and getting things done quickly.

Just know that he has the interest and investment of all who have entrusted him with the task of
building them guitars on his mind and at the top of his priority list even as he pushes through a
tough distraction like this.

He's shown signs of deep jaundice this week as his skin and eyes have turned a distinct yellow
indicating some sort of blockage affecting the liver so we ran to an appointment with our family
doctor to determine whether or not he should rush admittance to Fox Chase. We should hear from
them in the morning concerning what they find. I think a glance in the mirror this morning alarmed
him and sparked a whole new level or urgency for him.

Thanks again for encouraging him,
Paula Gallagher

At this point , you need to do what you have to. I don't think anyone that has a commission will be negative but they should be supportive. I cannot imagine how difficult a time this is for you but know there are many people praying and wishing well. I will do what I can to help if you need it.

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Kevin or Paula recently.

Still praying that the doctors are doing miraculous work.

I sent them an email on Monday. Haven't heard back yet. I'm sure they're inundated what with seeing the doc's travel to and fro, and tons of advice from tons of folks.
