When Ernie Klienman who was a life long luthier from the bowed instrument side of the trade passed (RIP Ernie) I asked folks to help his widow Cathy with all of his stuff. Ernie was a pack rat of sorts so there was a LOT of stuff.

Chris Pile and Al (FumbleFInger stepped up in the spirit of helping another OLFer and over a two year period helped Cathy find new homes for Ernie's stuff.

A huge thanks to you guys!!!

Well, Ernie was my friend. I felt like I owed him.

Yeah he was cool he used to call me at work and we would talk for a couple of hours sometimes. He had owned music stores in LA if I recall correctly and he was a trained bow maker.

He also was funny as hell!!! I miss him.

Because of the outreach here on the forum on Cathy's behalf, I was able to meet up with Cathy- I'm from Oklahoma and travel there from time to time to visit friends and family. Although I was never able to become acquainted with Ernie, I do own a few of Ernie's tools and get great satisfaction when using them. There's just something special about putting your hand to a tool with a history and a human fingerprint. Thanks to all involved.
