Some builders have lifetime warranty for such things. Check before you spend money.

Exactly. I'd love to do it myself, but I hate to ship it across country twice. I'd rather pay a local guy to fix it than a shipping company and take that risk.

I may be a nut - but if something needs to be repaired that was my fault, I pay the shipping both ways.
