That looks great Haans [:Y:] How many layers of Pink Ivory are in each section? Are the greens double layered or single?

Thanks guys!
Peter, the PI is one layer (solid wood) and the green is two (black is one) Herzog Veneer's green glues together nicely compared to LMI and the color is better, more subdued. I'll post a photo of the log later today. It tended to break up a lot on the rosette because the PI is pretty resistant to bending, so I hope it bends better around the box.
Jody, there is an ivoroid ring around the inside, and it's half the depth of the top, so the spruce shows too. That's the way Larson's did it.

Thanks again folks...
I promised to photo the log, so here it is...

As you can see, the PI pieces are two solid 3/8" x 1-1/4" and the holly is .080", same as the green. It's around 2' long, so there are a few guitars in there. Slice is around .090"

Mmmmm mmm mmm. What nice work, and a really attractive rosette.

You've given me the hankering to try my hand at a rosette of my own.
