I've got a build I'm starting and it looks like it is going to need tuners that are adjusted from the back of the headstock. Friction pegs are not an option, and I'm not really in favor of 4:1 banjo tuners. So I think Steinbergers may be my only option.
I've read through some past threads where different people posted their opinions on the tuners. They certainly wouldn't be my first choice for looks, but I want to know if they function well.
The instrument I'm building is a double-neck carved top bouzouki. 12 string/8 string. Because the design has parallel necks (which are relatively close) and similar scale length, regular tuners will not be an option at least for the tuners on the insides of the headstock.
Any input from people who have used these would be appreciated.
Thanks
Josh
