Hello,
I started working on the OLF OM model, and I have a (beginner) question, as I could not find the answer with the search function
Is the top rim (and linings) of this model radiused (with a disk)?
The plan says the top rim is flat, does this mean not in radius with the top?
(English is not my mother language guess thats giving me an extra handicap)

The plan is a guide, not a definitive "how to" so the choice is yours. If you want to build the top with a radius (not all people do this) then go for it. the choice of radius is also up to you. Some folks use 25' radius dishes, some use 30' while some use 60' and some folks build flat flat tops.

Most folks build the back with a 15' radius but there is some variation there too.

Page 1 of 4 side view 28' top 15' back or if you view the bracing details the radius is called out So it is there in plane sight. There is an error however on the OM plan. On the side view I typo'd 25' that should be 28' radius or 336" radius

Radii rim top or back rim is up to the builder. Some build without sanding the dome into the rim assembly some do. i don't so when I drew the plans there are no mention.

The flat pattern of the side profile said the "top rim is flat "BEFORE PROFILING". This makes bend the shape square intuitive. once the rim assembly is glued up it is the builders choice as to sanding in a profile to the top or to build with a flat top rim. both ways are acceptable.

I am fairly good about getting all the required dimensions on a drawing. but I am not infallible

it is a 28' top. there is a typo on the side view page 1 but every brace detail has 336" radii on every top brace detail

Michael, I'm almost sure you are saying you leave the rims edges straight and give the guitar it's radius with the braces, is that right?

Correct I leave the top of the rim and the top lining flat and allow the braces to for the tops dome. now my personal top bracing is always tappered to near zero athe the inside edge of the linings so I don't inlet the brace. On my drawigns the individual brace detaisl is pre glue-up so it shows an 1/8" sholder but I tapper to zero after brace glue-up
