Thanks everyone! :)

I had a request to take a few shots of this guitar with it's sister guitar... The Black Tiger. I do wish that I could get outside though because my pictures suck without natural light....

They look fantastic, Hesh. You are making me seriously consider having a black-top guitar in my arsenal.

Yeah, Hesh! They both look good, but that Dread is really nice, too. Great job, thought I would expect nothing less. Does it play as well as it looks?

That will get you the cowgirls! Beauty man. [:Y:] [:Y:] Something I never really considered but do people frequently change bracing for string gauge? I most always play using mediums but never thought it would make enough difference to beef up the upper bracing.

Have Fun,
Danny

You finally built a guitar with a proper shape. You still have to get that crazy keyboard of yours fixed.

Sorry Steve my friend I am still using this stinkin Mac with a Mac cordless keyboard that inserts an * when I try to spell out words such as dreadn*ught or fact*ry. :D I will tell you though that I am really liking this dreadn*ught so much so that I just might keep it.....

Danny I usually try to build very light weight guitars that are voiced for light strings and I indicate this to anyone who needs to know. A number of the usual suspect manufacturers will stipulate string gauge as a condition of continued warranty coverage.

Waddy bro I really like the way this guitar plays and looks and the next time that I have an OLFer over, which is pretty frequently these days, we will get you an unbiased testimonial. :D

Thanks Marcus - the one good thing about black is that you never have to be concerned about will it match what you are wearing..... laughing6-hehe :D

Thanks Michael and James!!!

I'm a little late to this party, but that is awesome Hesh. Good job.

Black is also slimming. That's why it's waist looks so tiny.

Hesh,

Nice guitar, But why did you take a picture of it in a shiny, clean operating room? I thought these things were built in wood shops? Then again, I am a newbie! ;)

Another pulchritudinous instrument from the sparklingly clean Heshzone! Love it!! [clap] [:Y:] [clap] [:Y:] [clap]

What's the finishing schedule for the shiny black soundboard Hesh? It looks like it's sprayed black (paint?) first, then clear coated over, right?

Cheers,
Dave F.

Cool, elegant, refined, a nice artistic statement. Bold and striking without resorting to bling. Impeccable workmanship.

[clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] Five stars, etc.

And I know it is set up right. ;)

Hesh,

Man that looks NICE! I love it!

So what's next? A black topped OM/000? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I know.....a Black topped Classical.

Either way, I think they look great. Keep building them because they sure are purdy to look at.

I really love this guitar... I love the contrast of the top and sides. It really brings out a completely different look to the sapele that you don't normally see on a guitar. I'm interested to know the process of finishing with something like this.

Well the only thing left is to hear it... which is what it's always about anyway right? :) So where can I find some sound clips?

Looking good buddy.

I think that might be the sapele you bought from Don Williams a few years back, at least I hope it is 'cause it looks fantastic and I bought a couple sets from the same board. Building with mine at the moment.

Hi Paul - my sapele may have come from Don Williams or Rich Frye and I can't remember the details. I do remember that I bought some spaele during an OLF swap meet and I have more of it here too but I just can't remember who it came from.... Usually I write notes on the wood when I receive it but this time I didn't do that.... Oh well but good luck with yours. Mine bent ok but seemed a little more prone to spring-back than other woods that I have bent.

Thanks Christian - when and if I get a player over here with some chops and a willingness to perform for folks I record a sound clip and post it.

Thanks Darryl and Blain!

Doc my friend no worries lots of folks are Rustoleum adverse and believe it or not I usually am too....

Thanks Link bro - wow I don't know what to say so I will just shut the heck up for a change and simple thank you kindly! :)

Thanks Dave buddy - I just had to look up "pulchritudinous" so I learned something too! [:Y:]

Thanks Arnt, Justin and Trev!

Skin buddy if it's still here this summer you will get to play it - looking forward to your visit too my friend!

Thanks too Mike and Dave!
