After reading some of the comments posted here about the turbine HVLP setups and specific mention of the Fuji Mini-Mite 4, I took the leap and ordered a new Mini-Mite 4 with the GT-X2 gravity feed gun from a seller on eBay. It will probably be a few weeks before I can give it a try, but it looks to be a quality tool. I like the small size and light weight...should be very easy to move anywhere that I would want to spray.

If anyone has been thinking of getting one of these, the seller now has it listed at $555 (was $575 when I got mine last week) with either the siphon or gravity feed gun and you can take advantage of the the 8% Microsoft Cashback (do a Bing search on HVLP, click on the ebay listing) and "eBay Bucks" savings (credit on future purchases). The 8% Microsoft Cashback savings would be $44.40 and the eBay Bucks credit is $11.10 which would give a net of $499.50, about a hundred bucks less than the price I say at most other places.

I just had a pleasant surprise from Jason Gilbert at Paint Sprayers Plus (the person on eBay that sold me the Fuji Mini-Mite 4)...he sent me a refund of $20 to match the lower price he is now selling the units at...nice! Also got the free 18 piece cleaning kit yesterday that he included with the purchase. It has several different brush sizes and other cleaning gadgets. Although they probably aren't needed for cleaning the HVLP, I'll make use of it for other things.

Now I just need to decide if I want to do my first spray job with nitro or EM6000 since I have both waiting to be used.

Thanks to Todd and others for mentioning the Fuji HVLP.

That sounds like a great deal Alan. I bet you'll love it. Thanks for bringing it up here. You got me looking around on EBay and I saw a Binks gravity fed HVLP gun for $299. I've been looking at that gun from a finish supplier I deal with here in Canada. I called them yesterday for a price. He asked me if I was sitting down. $579! The Canadian $ is almost par now and I think it's time to treat myself to a new gun. I'm using a pair of PC's that are just adequate right now. Although I have yet to rule out a turbine.

Happy and safe spraying.

Danny

I am going to add that you can further reduce the price 3% by using mrrebates.com. Its quite simple. Get an account at mrrebates.com. Now, after you have located the object you want on ebay using bing.com (cashback), then open a new window at mrrebates.com, log on, then paste the entire URL for the ebay object (cashback logo showing) into the mrrebates ebay window. Use that window to make the purchase.

The window will say you are getting credit for the purchase before you paste the URL. Thats about all the tactile feedback you will get until eventually you recieve an email saying you got the rebate. It works, and I have used it several times.
