Beautiful stuff for sure. [:Y:]

On a different note, I'm preparing to bend some Myrtle sides for the first time and have found no info anywhere on specifics for this particular species. How does it bend? Well? Finicky? Brittle? Soft? And what would be the best temp range to bend it in? I only have one set to work off of (well, a spare but not as nice), and I really want to make the best of it. Should I really wet it down? Bend it more dry? Any and all help would be appreciated. I know this is off the subject of this thread so an new thread would be fine. Thanks. :D

Bill the fish glue man!

I wrapped the Myrtle in aluminum foil and just spritzed it with
Aquafina-purified water we can buy at the local store.
Make sure the foil is as wringle free as you can !
Otherwise it can leave witness lines on the sides.

I bend at 285 degrees !
Myrtle can burn like Maple so to much heat is not good.

No problems at all.

I've been using the water from my dehumidifier to bend. Do you think this would be OK?

I LOVE FISH GLUE. It's great on Ice Cream. Eat Drink

Bill;
Any water that does not contain minerals(contaminates) that can color the wood.
Or discolor it !
Vodka might work but might catch on fire in the bender !
Smoked sides -a newest thing in guitarmaking!

I have a great well on my property that has vertually NO hardness(minerals) in it.
I've used that for years with NO problems!
