FWIW I have 2 separate units a humidifier (2 gallon I think) and a De-humidifier. Both from Lowes or HD I can't remember. Depending on the size of your shop the larger the better., My shop is only about 15x15. I may upgrade to one of the larger humidifier units from HD/Lowes about 14 gallon I think. It is just a pain to have constantly refill the unit.`On the other hand the dehumidifier works great. I have the drain tied into the sump pump on a HVAC unit in a closet close by, during summer months it keeps the room at a constant 45% RH.

Good luck
Richard
