How about a youtube video on it working. I can't really see how it advances the work on a stroke but I'm sure it does.

I cut mine on the bandsaw with a stopblock. I use a fine blade. One thing I do is cut more "kerfs" in the cut-away area to allow the lining to make the sharp curves.

Ok, I know this is going to get me some abuse but hey I'm in therapy for fixture obsession.
It all started when I found this cool surplus 60RPM gearmotor really cheap!!
I had to buy it right???
You understand right???
So the I remember the drive wheels on the old steam locomotives and I think Yaaaaah!!! kerf sled automation!!! bliss
So I fired up the oil lamp and worked on into the night and here it is:

Works like a charm.

I still need to add an off ramp for the kerfed lining so it won't flop around and a microswitch to turn it off
when the lining is finished. Then have it ring a bell and fire up the coffee maker. gaah help me!!! [headinwall]

AS ALWAYS - Keith has come up with another amazing invention. Keith is a heck of a luthier too...you aught to play one of his guitars. He is also a Somogyi Alumni so you can only imagine what he may be coming up with next. He recently sent me his version of Collin's neck repair jig. The thing can even do your tax return for ya!

As for MIMF great site but don't ever send the moderator/owner a Christmas well wish...you will be band for life.

I don't think it's appopriate to be bashing the MIMF sysop as we don't know the whole story or her half. People have been banned from there for spamming members and doing things against the rules knowingly. She has even had threats made against her by some people who I guess can't control themselves. So I don't think you would get banned for sending her a xmas message. There's probably more to it then that and I don't really care what you did. But I don't think this forum is about bashing other forums or other members.

I'm with Chris on this one - let's stick to the guitar stuff.
