Hey guys, I have a question for those of you using water based lacquer such as the Target USL products. Do you run into any issues with the tops warping due to the water based nature of the finish?

You must seal the bare wood with shellac first.
This will allow you to apply the Waterbase without swelling.

I've not had it do anything to tops and backs I've pre-sealed with a couple coats of shellac. I did have a very thin flatsawn test piece of maple cup pretty badly - it's thinner than a guitar top though.
