We all had a great time in Ann Arbor a feew weeks back. Now, there's something coming up for those of us nearby enough to take advantage of it! A two-day music festival in Kalamazoo wants to open things up for our group to hold a meeting/exhibit/show there, on January 9-10.
I've posted most of what I already know over in the Michigan Guild of Luthiers section, visit over there to read more. This is called the Cooper's Glen Music festival. http://www.coopersglen.com/index.html It looks like a good festival and a good chance for us.

The venue for this Event is the Hyatt Hotel in Kalamazoo. They have given us a large room to use, Brian Galloup has done this before and he asked me to post this and get the ball rolling, he's a sponsor and this is his idea, he'll be organizing. He thinks we could fit forty builders in there, and tables will cost 30 bucks each. That is the only cost, outside of your overnight expenses (the Hyatt offers a discount, but it's still not cheap to stay there). For a weekend pass to hear ALL of the music, you can buy one of those for 20 bucks (for a whole weekend of nationally-known talent!!?).
I know there will be more questions, and things to cover, but if anyone wants to get in on it, please respond over in the other section! This will be cool!

OK, I already have more details- I just talked to Bryan again. He said that anyone who pays the 30.00 table fee will get an all-access pass, and they will waive the 20.00 music ticket fee! So the 30.00 is all it will cost you.

Anyone wanting to get registered needs to call Bryan or Susan at (800) 278-0089. They will take care of things from there....
