I am a guitar tech that was setting up a, 2002 gibson es-135 tonight, when what felt like a normal turn of the TR resulted in it snapping the rod off about 3/8." it looks like the threads were damaged before, and that is what got caught up on the adjustment nut.

can anyone tell me what they know about the stew mac truss rod rescue kit? i could use some good news..

It works...but not sure you can go in 3/8". Call SM and ask them. They have some guys in the shop that know this stuff inside and out.
