Well,

This thing literally took forever. It just would not let me get it done. But alas, it is finally so.

This is my version of an SJ, what I call my Bryleigh Series.

B&S: Ziricote (4 piece back)
Top: Carpathian
Almost every accent on it is Ziricote. It already has the clear pickguard installed, which I generally wait until after pictures to do, but I forgot.

This is a special guitar for me, going to a special person.
Hope you enjoy!

Stephen

Beautiful work Stephen! That's one of the best matches of burst and back & side woods I've seen. Is their a photo of the back? How do you like the tone?

Thanks guys.

The soundhole rosette / attenuator is based off of the wheathead symbology that I use for my soundports. If you look at the central design, it is a cascading spiral of the same symbol. I think it is classy and original to my guitars - while paying a great deal of respect to the original lute symbology./

Stephen

Wow, it's truly a masterpiece. Beautiful color and finish.
This person is a lucky man indeed.
Excellent crafting. [clap]

Some pictures of the back...

Too much stinking reflection. I quit building with dark woods....

My congratulations, Stephen. Sunbursts are not usually my thing, but I think yours is quite beautiful, and it fits well with the general lines and curves and design of your instrument. You deserve to be proud of it. It's a wonderful looking instrument.
