I've had these 3 000 bodies (brw, ceylon satinwood, curly walnut )around for a few years and last week got the binding done.
That's one of Birkoniums necks I got earlier in the year and starting on the FB (AB) now.

Just finished this 13-fret 000. Multiscale 25.4 & 25.15 and yes, it does make a difference. Inspired by a guitar Bruce Sexauer posted some time ago and he generously provided me with some information when I was planning this.

Figured Honduran Rosewood B/S from Hampton Bros, torrefied Red Spruce top, BRW bridge and hog neck. Andy Birko made the fretboard for me. Accents are curly Koa. Everett style armrest and Schertler tuners (my new favorites). Inlay is an MOP and abalone Lily flower.

I've been playing this one hard for a little more than a month, I'm keeping it for sure. And yes, this is the one that I had to do the bridge reglue on idunno So far the bridge is still on it.

I sometimes wonder what's happening in my shop myself! Poking sround the woodshed today I found this board. Decided to resaw it. Unfortunately it has lots of little squiggly lines on it, so probably not very useful.

It does, I thought that too. The dark bindings and skunk stripe on the back of the neck just ask your eye to enjoy the entire shape of the uke.

Very nice Pat.

I've been working on this arch top for about a year. Trying a French polish sun burst.

Happy to oblige, Chris.

Made by Harvester guitars,
A one-man shop in Melbourne, Australia. This is a lefty non-reverse firebird kinda thing, set neck. Neck is wenge/wenge fb, no finish on the neck, it’s just burnished/polished up raw wood. Chunkier v-ish shape.

Image

Body I think is ash stained to match the wenge. Mastery jazzmaster-style bridge and trem. Pickups local hand-wound mini buckers, quite hot but they sound good.

Some chambering with an f-hole and also some weight reduction under the guard.

Image

Rear rout for controls.

Image

A quirky and very nice sounding axe.

Neat. I like quirky. What's the red thing in the peghead? A crystal?

I didn’t actually look too closely at the material and now my customer has picked the axe up so I can’t check. Resin maybe? The string kinda gets in the way in that photo. Here it is without strings:

I believe he uses this medallion/logo on most of his builds.

Just finished another folk art barnwood guitar. White oak and what I believe to be Southern Yellow pine top, oil stain and nail holes included. Persimmons fret board, bridge and binding, big thanks to Bob Gramann for the persimmons. Rickard banjo tuners. All native Virginia.

Nicely done!
That looks like a fun build, I wonder what kind of tone it produces?

Wow you guys have cool stuff going on in your shops! I’d rather not admit what I got going on in my shop! I planed a set of sides down by hand then threw them on the hot pipe and went to town bending then somewhere around the waist bend on the second side I mustarded enough brain cells to realize I haven’t cutt down to the rough height duh . So I guess this afternoon I will trim them in the mold very carefully without drama I hope.
