Before you re-top it you might try using "nylon" bass strings on it . With a thin top nylon basses sometimes work better.

Wow! It's nice to see people using Luthier Lab. I put a lot of work into it. If you have any questions or suggestions, let me know. You can do that directly from the app or create a topic on the forum and we can all talk about it.

A big thanks to you!

I have not scratched the surface of the app only having used the Spectrum Analyses but since you mentioned it...

##Story
I insert an external mic into my phone and set the phone on a stand.
Open the LL app
Select from the menu spectrum analyzer
the last test pops up
I want to start a new tap test
there is no new button
there is no clear button
What am I supposed to do?
Oh just hit the mic button and it starts a new file?

So I found that just a bit awkward. A clear or new file option would make more sense to me. Of course I am used to it so it's fine.

Also when opening up and looking at the sample list it would be nice to have a select all with options like delete.

The record option uses the same model as an audio recorder app or the video record on you phone. When recording stops, the recording is automatically saved. Recording again creates a new one. This is currently considered best practice on mobile devices. Back in the days when storage was slow and scarce, it made sense to have a save or new button.

That being said. I can see that it can cause you to pause because don't want to lose your previous record and pressing record might overwrite it. I'll change the wording of the Guided Tour to make it more clear that the microphone button records a NEW sample.

I'm thinking of making changes to the recording list to make it more obvious which recording is being displayed. I'll consider adding a multiple select or select all option.
