Trying to clean up and protect this Martin 12 string. Fretboard body etc.
What should I use to clean it and what to put on to protect and preserve it?
TIA

I really like Virtuoso cleaner + polish for he finished parts, and would use naphtha followed by Howard's feed and wax for the fret board.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

BOSS Guitar detailer and Howard Feed'N'Wax for the fingerboard.
