I just completed a Flamenco Negra. I will post a video as soon as it settles in.

Ebony Fretboard
Brazilian Rosewood bridge and headstock veneer

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Thank all! Here are a couple of videos. The first is unfortunately has me playing and I am not very good but you can hear the guitar. The second is my instructor playing it a bit. In this clip he was checking the intonation with the guitar capoed up the neck.

Very nice!
I've used Honduras rosewood on a few instruments. Not as "showy" as Brazilian, but sounds every bit as good, and still somewhat available at semi-reasonable prices.
