Post subject:  F-Hole Inside Edge...

Okay this is another question for my CS-336 ...ish build. I don't intend to bind the f-holes in this one. So, I'm trying to decide what to do. I guess the choices are to simply finish the inside edges of the f-holes at the same time I'm finishing the top or apply black to the inside edge. That could be done with transtint, but that could bleed in a way that I don't want. Another thought that occurred to me was to use the back paint that is used for shielding the electronics inside the guitar. I have used that stuff in tele builds, but I was not planning to for this one with humbuckers. Anyway, that stuff is somewhat thick and I could easily sand off any that happened to get on the top. I'm just not sure if there would be adhesion problems with the top finish (EM6000). Again any comments or suggestions?

I always finished mandolins first and applied (careful!) TransTint after on FF holes.

You could undercut the F holes like they do on violins and use black enamel paint to darken the remaining edge.
