Post subject:  Need some inlay work done on fretboard

I read on here not long ago that a member does inlay work, but can not for the life of me remember who it is. I would like a name inlayed across the fretboard of a guitar I'm working on.

Anyone have any suggestions? I did a search and my eyes got crossed and got a headache after 30 minutes.

Thanks a bunch,

Chuck

You're probably thinking of Andy Birko.

Craig Lavin (Clavin) also does wonderful work,

.You could also try andy depaule , (oregon)who makes a lot of inlay designs for luthiers . /I/m sure they have a list of talented inlay artists who buy their designs and do commissions for other luthiers.

Larry Ayres near Wichita is GREAT. And he's closer than Andy.

If you're not hand-carrying your fretboard to the inlay folks, I suggest contacting Custom Pearl Inlay in Malone, NY. Dave Nichols, an expert's expert.

I'll also recommend Andy and Dave, but I may do it a little cheaper, if less than the best will be good enough.
I have done that kind of thing before.
