I've got a guy who would like ivoroid bindings instead of maple. Does anyone have any experience using Enduro-Var over ivoroid? Seems like this could be a problematic combination, but maybe not. Thanks, Mike |

I've done two with plastic bindings. One is very well cared for and shows no issues. The other has a few small chips in the finish from inadvertent bumps to the bindings. I haven't tested how well EnduroVar sticks to plastic and like you was a bit concerned after reading the cautions on the label. Steve |

I had no problems with these plastic (celluloid) bindings, just sanded them same as the wood. Seems to be well cared for, so I can't say how well it will stand up to knocks. Sounds like some abuse of a test panel with binding along the edge could be in order? |

I've applied EV to guitars bound in black and white PVC plastic with no issues. I don't know if ivroid is different material, or if that matters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks guys. Seems like it's at least worth testing. I'm passing by LMI on a road trip. I'll pick some up and report back with test results in a few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
