Quite handsome, Colin. I have one set of I. Laurel nearly as dark as yours.
How did you find it works? Bending/sanding/etc?

No real problems with the IL, apart from the grain, which is a bit wild in this particular set as you can see. Bent not too bad (at about 0.08") and also OK to sand.
Aso this set seems to have been possibly a bit oily in a few places and posed some problems with finishing.
I couldn't find much info on working it and ended up contacting John Ressler as I was told (my thanks to Joe White) he had used it.
He said

I love Indian Laurel. It works a lot like Indian Rosewood - pretty easy to work with

Another lovely guitar, Colin! I'm liking that satin finish as well. Is it no touch, after the final coat?

Beautiful workmanship. The Indian Laurel is gorgeous. What do you use to pore-fill?

Fantastic work, it turned out great. This is the build I saw when visiting you, correct? Thanks for the finishing tips, BTW. I got the smaller sprayer nozzle and will give it a shot on the next one!

Thanks Brad.
Yes that's the one, came out not too bad, new owner seems to like it.
Good luck for your next finish, that smaller nozzle should help.

What are you using to spray, Colin? I just got a Fuji Mini Mite 3. It comes with a 1.3 tip and and thinking of buying one size smaller for Enduro-Var.

I have a Fuji Q3/XPC gun and bought the 1.0 mm tip for Enduro-Var.

Very nice tasteful design. The Indian laurel looks great and I like the look of the plum rosette.
