Can soft maple be used for electric guitar necks or do I need use hard maple or rock maple? Found some beautiful curly soft maple I would love to be able to use, |

Yes, soft maple is OK. It's not really that soft. |

I use a lot of soft maple for drawer boxes, and get quite a few boards that have lots of curl in them at just over $4/bf. Most of what I get is pretty close in hardness to hard maple, but not as splintery. Alex |
