I'm almost ready to glue my neck to the body on a semi hollow build.
I did a Gibson style tenon when humidity was high. I made a snug fit.
Now that it's dry in the shop, the joint is somewhat loose, but glueable.
I will apply lacquer outside in a dry environment.
Do I glue the neck in the shop and apply the lacquer in the dry environment, or would it make sense to bring it inside, soak up some humidity, glue the neck and then take it back outside?
Or, does it really matter?
Thanks,
Dan

In the many Gibsons I've repaired over the decades, I can tell you that it's not that critical. Enough glue, and it will hold. Once you put a finish on it, humidity will matter little on the neck joint of a solidbody. Drive on!
