Post subject:  Satinwood

I had lost this board for a long time, I thought I might have passed it on to someone, but I've been digging deep in the wood pile, fall cleaning, and found it.
It has never been cut into, but I thought I'd see how it works, bends, for binding and purfling, I think it will.

It is a good-sized block, so I'll have quite a bit if it works out well.

Satinwood makes great purflings. A bit yellow for bindings IMO.

That's so funny, I think the yellow may be right up my alley. We will see...
I just finished making up bindings out of about half the block, 9 sets.

This is one with satinwood bindings on Black Walnut B&S.
Could have looked better with BWB purfling on the bottom of the bindings, I will admit.
