Hi, hello, OLF'ers
I have problem this evening, that's broken my neck, I need your suggestion for that, what should I do
I have some glue: titebond original, titebond 2, hide glue and super glue, need solutions for gluing or replace the neck.
This guitar is Electric Upright Bass, neck through body. And I use The WeedWacker String.

Looks like a quick fix with hide glue to me.

Just try not to get any in the truss rod threads...

Looks like a pretty clean break from here. Check out Dan Erlewine's recent video on repairing a much worse head break on a guitar. I just saw it earlier this week. Dan picks out all the fibers that have been bent or twisted. This allows the joint to close up much more tightly. Interesting to me: He uses liquid hide glue for his repair, because of the longer open time. But he tests it first to make sure his glue hasn't "gone over". Lots of people don't like the stuff, which is why I was surprised to see Dan using it. If this link doesn't take you right to it, go to Stewmac.com and enter "trade secrets" in their search engine. They have a good library of free videos covering all manner of repairs, shop made tools, etc.

I wonder if a Pva with longer open time than HHG would be a good idea.

I would use PVA for this myself, at least if I lived in a high humidity area.

Hi, Greg thank's for your suggestion, but as I knew, I uses PVA glue for paper binding or paper craft or wallpaper (very cheap here but you must doubtful for the grade), I never use for guitar building and never trying, is pva glue as strong as HHG or titebond? thank's Greg B

Hi Henry, Titebond is PVA. PVA (Poly Vinyl Acetate) is the generic name for that kind of glue.

I'm suggesting that you use the Titebond I or II. Titebond I dries a little harder, but Titebond II is water resistant when it is dry. Probably either one would be fine.

Language barrier, I was just kidding. Looks like a simple fix with some glue as others have mentioned.
