I finally got my next guitar back from the finisher. I never had tendinitis before I French Polished my first guitar about 1-1/2 years ago, and it got worse with subsequent guitars, so I decided to pay a pro to spray this with nitrocellulose lacquer. Looks very nice. It really sounds very bright with a lot of volume. Right now its sounds about what I was hoping for with the Osage Orange. Still adjusting the action, but I got it pretty close the first time. Here are shots of the guitar: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ruby1638/ ... 884410045/ And here is the whole process which you have seen a million times - you should only attempt this if you have some time and are really interested - warning - blowhard at work: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ruby1638/ ... 029319394/ I wish I could take a reasonable sound recording. g'day Ed Minch |

Nice size and shape I like it. Osage looks great too I've never worked with that stuff before. |

Very nice I've never seen Osage. Sounds like an Oklahoma wood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's an all-over wood that is not native AFAIK. Here in MD it is used for hedgerows so it does not grow big or straight, so I got this wood from Wisconsin. Really good to work with. Ed |

Very pretty, Ed. I love the V at the volute and the way you did the back of your headstock. I lived in WI all my life and never heard of Osage Orange trees growing there! Congrats. |

Hi Ed, That is a lovely guitar. The pattern is a little different than the typical LG2-3/4 (more like an L0 ?) but I think it looks quite nice. |
